Putting A Sock In It This Christmas For Charity
This year we have chosen to support a cause very close to home. We have decided to support ‘Put a Sock in it’, a fundraising campaign inspired by our Manging Director’s thoughtful son, Alfie, to help the homeless. During a trip to Manchester for the day, Alfie saw a number of homeless people on the streets so decided to save some of his lunch to give to a homeless person nearby, but rather than doing that our Managing Director offered to buy a sandwich for Alfie to give away, which he did. This inspired Alfie to do something similar in his home town of Leeds so Put a Sock in it was created to enable Alfie to distribute food and clothing directly to the homeless in Leeds at weekends and here we are now!
Put A Sock in it has now officially partnered with St George’s Crypt, a Leeds-based charity that supports the homeless and vulnerable. We have so far donated £1,600 this Christmas, as well as donating clothing and other essentials to St George’s Crypt.
One Global also intends to donate a percentage of its profits to St George’s Crypt as well as organising fundraising events throughout 2019. Special thanks to Fat Media who have helped with our sock designs!
