Background
Univar is a world leader in chemical and ingredients supply. They work with all industry sectors from food, personal care and pharma, to printing inks and even the automotive industry. Univar have a team of technical industry specialists and laboratories to help work with customers to formulate bespoke products.
While English is Univar’s business language, internal communications go out to a diverse team spread across many geographies in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia/Pacific – so it is essential they translate into local languages for their larger populations where there are a mix of warehouse and office employees with varying levels of English understanding.
When it became apparent Univar needed help to turn around important communications rapidly, Internal Communications Manager Hayley Lamper realised this was not something they could do internally.

How did One Global help?
One Global translates into six languages as standard for Univar, and on occasion up to 18. These include regular messages from the EMEA President in both email and video format – translating both the written and spoken word. OG also translate posters and booklets using many file formats. ‘Not having to supply everything in Word speeds up the time needed to format and distribute the translations as they come back.’
